In addition, 24/7 support is provided throughout the journey to ensure a comfortable and safe travel experience.

What is the best time of the year to take this tour?

The tour can be taken year-round, but the best time to enjoy all destinations to the fullest is between April and October, during the dry season. During these months, the weather is mild, and the skies are clear, providing ideal conditions for visiting Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and the Colca Canyon, as well as for outdoor activities and photography.

What type of accommodation is offered during the trip?

Travelers stay in superior tourist-class hotels selected for their comfort, cleanliness, central location, and service quality. In Cusco, Arequipa, and Lima, hotels include breakfast, Wi-Fi, hot water, heating, and 24-hour reception. In Aguas Calientes, the accommodation is designed for relaxation after the Machu Picchu visit, offering cozy rooms close to the thermal baths.

Are domestic flights between cities included?

The itinerary includes transfers between Lima, Cusco, and Arequipa; however, domestic flight tickets may or may not be included depending on the traveler’s preference. If requested, our agency can arrange flights with reliable airlines at convenient times. Alternatively, travelers may book their own flights, and we will coordinate the necessary ground transportation.

How much time is spent visiting Machu Picchu?

The guided tour of Machu Picchu lasts approximately two hours, covering key archaeological sites such as the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, the Intihuatana, and the agricultural terraces. After the guided visit, travelers have free time to explore the site on their own, take photos, or climb to nearby viewpoints. In the afternoon, you’ll return by train to Cusco.

Do I need to acclimate before visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu?

Yes, it’s highly recommended to spend at least one full day in Cusco before doing demanding activities, especially if you’re arriving from sea level. During this time, rest well, stay hydrated, and avoid heavy meals. Most hotels offer coca leaf tea, which helps reduce altitude sickness symptoms. Proper acclimatization will allow you to fully enjoy your visits to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu without discomfort.

What should I pack for this trip?

We recommend packing comfortable clothing, non-slip walking shoes, a hat or cap, sunscreen, a light rain jacket, a camera, a reusable water bottle, and some cash for personal expenses. In high-altitude areas, temperatures can vary greatly, so layering clothes is essential. Don’t forget your passport or ID, which are required for entry to Machu Picchu and for domestic flights.
